Dear Family
and Friends,
We read in Revelation 5:9 regarding the Lord Jesus and His
children, “And they sang a new song, saying, You
are worthy to take the book...For You were slain, and have
redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every kindred, and
tongue, and people, and nation.”
What a joy
and privilege, as God’s Children, to have the opportunity to be
a part of taking the Gospel to “every kindred, tongue,
people, and nation” around the world. We thank each of you
who have prayed for us in our ministry with New Tribes Mission,
as well as for those who have sent us gifts of support this past
month. What a wonderful blessing you are to us, from the Lord.
Airplanes
have been a vital part of the outreach of the Gospel to tribal
people through NTM over the years. The use of airplanes have
saved our missionaries countless days and even weeks that would
otherwise be spent in navigating
dangerous rivers, hiking along difficult jungle trails, or driving on almost impassable
“roads”. About two years ago NTM partnered with a new aircraft
company called Quest Aircraft. Quest has developed the Kodiak,
a state-of-the-art turboprop airplane that is now FAA approved.
NTM has spoken for 14 of these Kodiak airplanes so far, when
they begin coming off the assembly line. The Kodiak can fly on
readily available jet fuel, which is about 1/3
the cost of aviation fuel. The aircraft was designed by
missionary pilots who have served in remote jungle locations
around the world.
We have
just had the opportunity, along with our son, David, to take a
flight on the Kodiak when it came to Sanford this week for a
special showing. What a blessing to see God’s wonderful
provision of an airplane — truly an answer to prayer.
