“But God forbid that I should glory,
save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom the world is crucified unto me,
and I unto the world.”
Galatians 6:14
April 2009
Dear Friends,
Greetings from
your friends and co-workers, John & Linda McGhee.
We are very
thankful to our Heavenly Father for His provision of support to
us through you. “But my God shall supply all your need
according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
You are a great help and blessing and we thank you for your
partnership.
When I Survey
the Wondrous
Cross, written by Isaac Watts, was no doubt inspired by the
scripture verse quoted at the top. We would like to share the
beautiful words of this hymn with you this joyous Easter
Season. It is a wonderful reminder of what our Savior
accomplished for us on the Cross of Calvary for our sins.

1 When
I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride. |
|
|
2
Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
Save in the death of Christ my God!
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to His blood. |
3 See
from His head, His hands, His feet,
Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did eer such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown? |
|
|
4 Were
the whole realm of nature mine,
That were a present far too small;
Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all. |
Please keep
praying for tribal people around the world where the Gospel is
being shared for the first time. Men and women, boys and girls
are coming to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, the
One “In whom we have redemption through His blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”
Ephesians 1:7
