Dear Friends
and Family,
Autumn is a
wonderful time of the year when all of nature is in a beautiful
state of transition in preparation for the coming winter. As we
view God’s creation and behold His wondrous works, we can truly
echo the words of the Psalmist “Unto Thee, O God, do we give
thanks!”
We are very
thankful to the Lord for allowing us to continue on in this
ministry with New Tribes Mission nearly 33 years. We are
constantly reminded, month after month, as we pray to our
Heavenly Father to provide for our daily needs, that we are
completely dependent upon Him. As members of a “Faith Mission”
it is only through the Lord and His people that we can remain in
this ministry of reaching tribal people around the world with
the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are thankful, from the
bottom of our hearts, for those who support us financially, as
well as for those who pray faithfully for us. Thank you for
your prayers, as together we are co-laborers in reaching others
for Christ.
We would ask
you to please pray for a need that we have in the NTM
Medical/Medical Evacuation/Life Insurance office. For several
years now, we have seen the need for someone to be our backup,
when we are away from the office. We are asking the Lord
specifically for another man to work in our office, not only to
be our backup, but also to help us with many of our
responsibilities which only we know how to do. It really isn’t
a good situation to not have an adequate backup when we are
responsible for the administration of a Medical Plan that
processes well in excess of $3,500,000 claims per year. Having
another man in our office would then allow us time to work on
other projects that we have had to leave on the “back burner.”
The need of having another co-worker was really brought home to
us this summer when we needed to spend 3+ weeks with Mom and Dad
in Wisconsin, after Mom suffered a stroke. Fortunately, this
happened in the summer when we weren’t quite as busy, but if we
had to be away from the office at this time of the year, it
would have been very, very difficult. Right now we are working
on the revision of the 2007 Medical Plan Policy. We are also
involved
in putting together a Health Savings Account provision for our
missionaries and we are working through a rather difficult
transition to a new company who helps with some of the
processing of our missionaries medical claims, who serve in
Florida. All of this besides the unending flow of work that
comes into our office each day, i.e. e-mails, phone calls,
paying claims and invoices, etc. Thank you for praying for us,
that the Lord would provide another man to be our backup and our
co-worker.
We trust that
you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. Thank you once
again for praying for us.
