Christmas 2006
Dear Friends
and Family,
The wonder that
began that first Christmas morning when Jesus was born in the
City of David, still stirs the hearts of all believers
throughout the ages. May this Christmas once again remind us of
the love of God and the wonderful salvation that He has
purchased for us through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, our
Savior.
We are very
thankful to those who have been
co-laborers together with us this past year, through their
prayers and financial gifts of support. We are thankful to the
Lord for each one, whose support of our ministry with New Tribes
Mission, has allowed us to continue on in this workthank you!
Thank you for
praying for us as well. In our last Thank You letter we asked
you to please pray that the Lord would provide a man to be a
backup and co-worker in our busy NTM Medical Plan office. So
far we dont know of any prospects, but our Mission leadership
has informed us that they are now actively looking for someone.
The past few months have been perhaps the busiest that we have
ever experienced the past 33 years with NTM and we therefore
continue to trust the Lord for a man to give us a hand and share
some of the workload. Please continue to pray for the many
tribal people around the world who have not yet had an
opportunity to trust in Jesus as their Savior. Praise the Lord
for those who came to know the Savior during 2006, that they
will be grounded in the Word of God and have a desire to reach
out to their own people with the Gospel.
On the home
front, we have much to be thankful for. Mom and Dad Hansen are
doing quite well these days after Mom came home from the Rehab
Facility. You will remember that she had a stroke back in
June. It continues to be a joy for us to have Sarah and her
family living so close, here in Sanford. Kayla had her 4th
birthday in October. Tim still lives in Alexandria, VA and
hopes to be with us for Christmas. He is praying for another
car as this is an urgent need. Jeffrey has been promoted to
Project Manager at Palmer Electric. He is one of the youngest
Project Managers in his companys 55 year history. David is now
a student at the University of Central Florida as well as
working full-time at K&K Electric here in Sanford. Our children
continue to be a joy and blessing to our hearts and we are
thankful to the Lord for each of them. We have enclosed a photo
of our family, as a prayer reminder. Thank you for praying for
us all these days.
In
closing, we thank you once again for the blessing and
encouragement that you are to us in our ministry. May we be
challenged and refreshed anew, as laborers together, we have the
privilege of serving Him during 2007.
Have a Merry
Christmas and a Happy New Year! |
