Our Faithful Friends and Family,
Greetings from your co-laborers, John and Linda McGhee!
We thank the Lord for your prayers and support of our ministry
with New Tribes Mission. You constantly remind us of the Lords
faithfulness and of your love and kindness to us.
We read in Gods Word that “...your (our) labor is not in vain
in the Lord.” 1 Cor. 15:58
What an encouragement to realize that what we do in this life,
in our service for Him, counts for all eternity. There will be
people around the Throne of Grace with whom we have had the
privilege of being a part in taking the Gospel to them.
Just last month when the NTM missionaries arrived back in the
Banwaon
village in the
Philippines,
after their furlough, they found the believers gathered together
worshiping God and praying for them.
The
Banwaon believers have demonstrated their spiritual maturity in
many ways. They have diligently worked with the missionaries to
translate God's Word into their language. Their desire to have
God's Word helped them stick to the task.
Another evidence of growth and maturity is that the Banwaons are
teaching more than 20 Bible lessons each week. The classes are
taught at various levels. Evangelistic lessons are taught in a
number of areas, new believers are being discipled and more
mature believers are studying verse-by-verse through the book of
Luke. Each month the classes meet together for a time of worship
and teaching.
Praise the Lord that the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ has
been taken to another unreached tribe for the first time. There
will now be Banwaon believers in Heaven!
“...thou wast
slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every
kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.”
Rev. 5:9
Thank once
again for your prayers for us in the Medical Plan office. We
are looking forward to the new family joining our office in
August.
