Christmas 2005 |
Dear Family and Friends,
It
is with heart-felt gratefulness to God for His many blessings this past
year that we send you our Christmas Greetings. The ministry that we
have been involved in, through New Tribes Mission, has only been made
possible through the countless prayers, financial support, and great
encouragement of you whom we consider to be our fellow co-laborers.
“For we are laborers together with God.”
1 Cor 3:9
We
are thankful to the Lord for allowing us to all be together for
Thanksgiving. The enclosed photo of our family was taken at
Thanksgiving. Please use it as a reminder to pray for us.
We
are sorry that Mom and Dad Hansen wont be able to be with us at
Christmas this year. They have been going to Bibleville in Alamo,
Texas, for the last 18 years. They will be spending this Christmas in
Wisconsin with other family members. We will greatly miss them coming
to Florida.
Our youngest son, David, will be receiving his Associate degree from
college in December. Jeffrey has already graduated from the FEAT
program (Florida Electrical Apprenticeship Training), and he is just
finishing his on-the-job hours after which he will take the exam for his
Electrical Journeymans License. Tim began a new job in Washington, DC
this past September, besides doing web pages on the side. Sarah and her
family are doing well. Our three year old granddaughter, Kayla, is now
a little “chatter-box.”
Truly we can tell that
we are in a spiritual battle, thus, your prayers are not in vain in the
Lord. Health-wise, we have had a good
year, with the exception that Linda has been having considerable
discomfort and at times, severe pain from
what we think are gall bladder symptoms. Thank you for praying. She is
eating very carefully, and
taking natural supplements to help with this problem.
We
are thankful that the 2006 Medical Plan Policy booklet has now been
completely updated and is at the printer. We continue to be encouraged
in our ministry with New Tribes Mission - in the Medical Plan Office.
For those who have access to the internet, please visit us at our newly
updated website at:

Our son, David, builds
and maintains our website. Our other son, Tim, hosts it. It is our
prayer that this website will be a “visual expression” of what is really
deep in our hearts; the reason why we are excited to continue on in this
ministry of taking the Gospel to yet unreached tribal people around the
world. (Acts 4:12)
We would like to close
our Christmas letter to you with these encouraging words: Jesus - “In
whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of
sins.” Col
1:14
May you have a
joyous Christmas
and a blessed
New Year!
